When managing award entries, there may come a time when a submitted entry needs to be deleted for various reasons. To prevent data loss, rather than fully deleting entries in Eventsforce, we allow event managers to archive entries. An archived entry will not appear in the list of “Submitted” entries.

Note: An archived entry can always be restored if needed, see “Restoring an award entry” below.

Archiving an award entry

Take the following steps to archive or delete an award entry in Eventsforce:

  1. Go to Awards > Management > Entries

  2. Use the options in the 'Award Entries' section to filter the list of entries as needed

  3. Select the checkbox to the left of the entries to be archived (more than one entry can be archived at once)

  4. Select the "Delete" button at the top

  5. Click "OK" to confirm

Note: Award submitters are not automatically notified when an entry is deleted/archive. The submitter will no longer see the entry when logged into the award submission portal.

Restoring an award entry

If an award entry was archived by mistake or the entry needs to be restored for other reasons, event managers can always restore or undelete award entries. Take the steps below to restore an archived award entry:

  1. Go to Awards > Management > Entries

  2. Click on the "Active/Deleted" dropdown and select "Deleted only"

  3. Click "Search"

  4. Locate the entry from the deleted list and select the checkbox to the left of the entry

  5. Select the "Undelete" button at the top of the screen

  6. Click "OK" to confirm

Note: Award submitters are not automatically notified when an award entry is restored. The submitted will be able to login and edit the restored entry if amendments are allowed.
