Ads can be used on your main event site (desktop) and also mobile app in a variety of ways. Most commonly, ad spaces are used to highlight sponsors/exhibitors, but can also be used to highlight sessions or important information for the attendee. In addition to sponsor ads, there are other creative ways to use standard features for sponsor deliverables.
Sponsor ads are configured separately for mobile app vs desktop. In addition, some ad placements are only available on app while some are limited to desktop.
For more information about ad sizes and configuring ad campaigns, see our article "How to set up ads and ad campaigns".
Mobile app sponsor options
For the mobile app specifically, below are some ways to highlight sponsors:
Adding sponsor logo to your main event logo (ex: graphic showing your event name and at the bottom, says "Sponsored by..." with a name and/or logo
Mobile ad banners on listing pages- ad banners can be placed on most pages of the app, this would be a banner displayed at the top of any listing page (Home, Participants, Sponsors, Agenda, Speakers)
this banner can be set to rotate after a certain number of seconds so each sponsor gets their own graphic OR can be static and change change on page reload with a weight placed behind each graphics (higher weights so more frequently)
Mobile ad banner above activity feed - if using an activity/social feed where users can post and share status and images, we can have a sponsor banner appear above that (ex: Social feed sponsored by...)
can be set to rotate or by static and change on page load as banners on listing pages
Sponsored post in social feed - similar to a sponsored post in Twitter or Instagram, sponsors can have a sponsored post appear in the social feed. Post would say "Sponsored by.." and could include two links along with an image
limited to social feed in app only
has some algorithm so only appears when at least 3 regular posts exist (to prevent users from only seeing sponsored posts)
App loading screens - each event can have unique app loading screens that appear for a few seconds after a user clicks into a conference (as the event loads up)
some clients have chosen to have their own branding and include "sponsored by..." appear below the main event info
Broadcast message (push notification) - you could choose to send a broadcast message highlighting one of your sponsors and drive traffic to their sponsor profile
Custom pages - any number of custom pages can be created with any HTML content, you could have a page specific to one of your sponsors with more information (in addition to their sponsor company profile)
Custom icons - for sponsored sessions or default icons for attendees
Desktop sponsor options
For the desktop view, the following ad spaces are available:
Adding sponsor logo to your main event logo (ex: graphic showing your event name and at the bottom, says "Sponsored by..." with a name and/or logo

Desktop square ads - square ads can appear on the left and right sidebars of the home page
this square ad can be set to rotate after a certain number of seconds so each sponsor gets their own graphic OR can be static and change change on page reload with a weight placed behind each graphics (higher weights so more frequently)
