You can customize the look and feel of your event app from within the mobile content manager (MCM). The following elements can be customized:

  • Event banner - shown on the menu pages of your event app
  • Menu type - choose between classic icons or a tile menu
  • Theme colors - for text and background colors

Adding event launch screen graphics

When a user downloads your event app, the launch screen will be shown briefly. To account for the range of devices your users may use, various sized graphics are required.

  1. Click on the "Event Setup" tile within the MCM dashboard
  2. Navigate to the 'Event Launch Screen' tab, where an indication of missing graphics and a reminder of the specifications are shown
  3. Upload the graphic files and click "Save"

Changing the event banner and icon

  1. Click on the "Event Setup" tile within the MCM dashboard
  2. Navigate to the 'Setup' tab
  3. Upload the graphic file to either the 'Event Logo' or 'Event Banner' section as needed
  4. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page

Configuring the event app menu

You can choose between “classic icon” and “tile” style menus. Both styles come with default icons and images for you to use. Alternatively, you can upload your own set of graphics. By default, the menu is set to "Classic Icon Style".

To change the the menu type:

  1. Click on the "Design Manager & Theme" tile within the MCM dashboard
  2. Click "Menu Type"
  3. Choose between "Classic Icon Style" and "Tile Style" and click "Save"

Classic Icon Style menu

  1. Set the menu type to "Classic Icon Style"
  2. Click on "Icon Set" to change the icon style
  3. Click "Save" after making any changes
  4. Click on "Icon Shape" to change the shape of your icons
  5. Click on the pencil icon of any shown menu item to change the graphic or name

Tile Style menu

  1. Set the menu type to "Tile Style"
  2. Click on the pencil icon of any shown menu item to change the graphic or name

For either menu type you can:

  • Show/hide (activate/deactivate) menu items by clicking on the "eye" icon
  • Move menu items by clicking on the item and dragging to the desired location. Click "Save" after making any changes to the order of menu items

Changing event app theme colors

The "Theme Manager" allows you to change the colors used in your event app. You can change the following five color components:

  • Page heading background color
  • Menu page background color
  • Header text color
  • Title text color
  • Secondary text color

To change color of the above components:

  1. Click on the "Design Manager & Theme" tile within the MCM dashboard
  2. Click "Theme Manager"
  3. Click on the color-changing dots to select a color from the color palette or specify a hex color code
  4. Click "Save"
