Personal links can be used within Eventsforce emails to provide attendees with a quick way to begin registration or amendment, as well as avoid requiring passwords to register or amend. Read more about "Attendee passwords". While personal links can be added to most emails, we will demonstrate adding a "personal registration link" to the invitation email, as well as the "personal amendment link" to a confirmation email.
Note: Event managers can also use the "personal agenda link" to take attendees directly to the agenda page on the website.
Adding personal registration link to invitation email
Go to Communications > Invitations
Click to "Edit" the invitation email
Add the text to your email content such as "Click here to register"
Highlight the text and select "Insert/edit link"
Use the 'Link list' dropdown and select "Main" Personal Registration Link"
Click "Ok"
Click "Save"
Alternatively, you can use the 'Tag list' on the left hand side and select "Personal registration link" to populate a hyperlinked URL.
Adding personal amendment link to confirmation email
Go to Communications > Automatic
Click to "Edit" the 'Amend Registration' email
Add the text to your email content such as "Click here to amend"
Highlight the text and select "Insert/edit link"
Use the 'Link list' dropdown and select "Main: Personal Amendment Link"
Click "Ok"
Click "Save"
Alternatively, you can use the 'Tag list' on the left hand side and select "Personal amendment link" to populate a hyperlinked full URL.
Note: Personal links can only be used when sending emails from within Eventsforce. If emails are sent from outside Eventsforce, event links should be provided from the addresses list under Website > Settings > Addresses.
